The event will take place at Oshawa Civic Fields, site of the 2013 OFSAA Track and Field Championship, on Wednesday May 8th and Thursday May9th 2013. This meet will offer most events (see attached meet schedule) and new for 2013, an elite 1500m invitation race. Ribbons will be given out in all events to the top 3 competitors. Furthermore, a CHAMPIONSHIP CUP will be awarded to the team with the highest aggregate score. Congratulations to the Sacred-Heart Crusaders who were last year’s champions. AGE CLASSIFICATIONS: MIDGET - under age 15 as of January 1st of this school year, and in Gr. 9. JUNIOR - under age 16 as of January 1st of this school year. SENIOR - under age 20 as of January 1st of this school year.
Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers Scoring: OFSAA Scoring : 10-8-6-4-2-1 An annual aggregate trophy will be awarded to the top overall school
Entries: Online at www.trackdatabase.com (contact [email protected] for meet code) Changes must be made by Friday May 3rd (6pm - No Post Entries) Competitors may enter three individual events plus one age class relay, and one open relay. Schools may enter one relay team per division.
Entry Fee: $5.00/entry, $7.00/relay team – Max 350$ per school Cheques made payable to Saint-Charles-Garnier
General Info: All events are finals (photo timing) Minimum standards will be used for field events Athletes must wear distinctive school tops (numbers will be provided)
Coaches will be asked to supervise / officiate one event in some capacity
Medical personnel will be present on site during the meet. |
